Introducing the Belfast Jacket

Ours is the story of a city, Belfast’s.

Once Europe’s industrial heartbeat, and the greatest producer of linen in the world.

Generations have passed, mills have shut, but the city goes on.

Entrepreneurs now work where looms once wove. Belfast hasn’t stopped making, and neither have we.

Shaped by the past, the Belfast Jacket is the culmination of innovation, design, history and perseverance. Developed and designed by Chris Tyndall and Jane McCann and manufactured in Northern Ireland by a team of garment makers with 40 years collective expertise.

Influenced by the hardwearing garment worn daily by thousands of workers on Belfast’s railway lines, the Belfast Jacket is our way of giving back.

Reimagined for life in the city, each aspect of the jacket’s form and function has been considered. Our version is understated, unconstructed to allow layering and freedom of movement. Two large patch pockets and a hidden Irish Linen inside pocket provide ample storage for your everyday carry. While vintage WW11 change buttons allow you to button up when the temperatures drop.

Every garment is carefully constructed and numbered in Northern Ireland from specially selected fabrics, launching this year in a durable worsted wool from the Shetland Isles early 2018 with a special mill find of deadstock selvage narrow loomed linen.
